(And no, I’m not dead)
People choose phpBB over bbPress for one of two reasons – either bbPress doesn’t have the features they want or they don’t know bbPress exists.
My plan is to make every feature of phpBB available to users of bbPress. Here’s my list of plans:
- Finish bbPress Moderation Suite
- Make a bbPress port of the phpBB cash mod
- Make a role manager that will eventually be part of the core (example)
- Watch the Trac and make patches for as many tickets as possible
- Look through other phpBB features and make plugins that implement their functionality into bbPress
