The winner for the empty loops category is Firefox 1.0.8, in second place is Firefox 3.0b4, and in third place, Safari 3.1.

The winner for the random numbers category is Firefox 3.0b4, in second place is Opera 9.5a, and in third place, Safari 3.1.

The winner for the evaluating nothing category is Safari 3.1, in second place is Netscape 6.2, and in third place, Netscape 7.2.

The overall winner is Safari 3.1, in second place is Firefox 3.0b4, and in third place, Netscape 7.2.

    Well, that post was very long. However, it was interesting and I learned about the many web browsers, so I don’t feel as if I was just locked in a room with a boring college proffesor ramblingon about whatever. This version of browser wars ROCKS!

    I’m amazed that there are so many different browsers! Some of them can’t handle much, which is surprising. It’s encouraging, though, that newer versions often do better.

    What’s in store for BW4? Can’t wait to learn more…or was BW3 all for now?
