Today, I went to socialize cats at the Wisconsin Humane Society again. Calvin and Hobbes were a bit tired and Hobbes’ fur was a dark gray instead of white today. I socialized a lot of kittens. Kink was the smallest of them all. She was really afraid of people but loved attacking balls with bells in them. In the socialization log, nobody else had been able to get anything other than fear out of her before I went in today. I felt like a cat whisperer.
Treats was also new to the Royal Cat Hotel. She was hiding in her drawer when I came in, but came out after a little while and started to explore the suite. Whenever there was a noise, she would run back to my lap. She was shedding all over me.
Pop was sleeping on top of his cat tree when I came in. The other cat that was in the suite with him had been adopted. He allowed me to pick him up and I brought him to a chair outside of the suite. Pop was the first cat I’ve ever let out of a suite that didn’t run around. He snuggled on my lap and did not leave it until it was 5:00 when the Humane Society was closing.
